MissSilence
I've tried to find this elsewhere but might have over looked it. If you send credit bureau a letter disputing items on CR how soon after they recieve the dispute should the items show on my CR as disputed?? qtptute
The next time that the C/A, JDB, OC, whoever is reporting sends a tape to the CRA, it MUST be updated with DISPUTED. If it is not, then it is a violation. Many companies update monthly, but many do not. They may deicde to leave you off the tape, just so they don't have to update your information. If you dispute with the CRA and not the C/A, JDBs ONLY then you can get them (JDBs and C/As) on the hook. OCs are a different bird and your dispute can't just say it is disputed, It MUST have details.
Fizzle1979
My OC is just reports "Consumer Disputes" and nothing else on an auto repossession back in 11/04. Although I do give them credit for even putting anything on my report.
