was it a timely DV? (meaning, did you send it in within 30 days of receiving notice from them)... If it was untimely, the dont have to respond at all...

Maybe you should give some more information for a better answer

the credit card was from about 3 years ago and i received the letter from the law firm stating this is an attempt to collect a debt and if you dont answer within 30 days this debt will be deemed valid. It was the first letter from the law firm and i sent a certified letter and the rest is the same as the last post it was within a timely fashion. hopes this helps more

Did you dispute the TL with the CRA's after you confirmed the CA received it? If so, did the CRA's report it as "verified"? If so, then you've got something to work with.

Following divemedic's primer or going by the Good Credit is Sexy book are two great ways to be clear on your next steps.

it has been over 30 days and still have heard nothing from the law firm as of yet. i said in my letter that they had 30 days to answer or delete it off my record. i disputed the debt from capital one from 3 years ago and have heard nothing in last 30 days for which i sent a certified letter stating to validate the debt
