rdavow
If I have multiple items to dispute with a CRA should I send 1 letter listing a dozen different items, or should I send seperate letters for each. If sending seperate letters, should they go out on the same day, or should they be spread out?
redbank
I would like to hear the proper answer to that one myself. But I am thinking some of the regulars around here might say that it only matters if you are gonna take one to court. Lets see what thay say.
CantCU
I'm new so I am no expert on this. But when I dispute, I may only dispute a couple of TL's at a time. I don't want the 3 CRA's seeing a large number of disputes at one time. I do know that repairing your credit takes time, and patience. It's not a quick fix. I start with the oldest TL's first and work forward. I don't have that many negatives on my report, and I find that just disputing these has been a huge effort on my part. Don't overwhelm yourself trying to fix it overnight. One step at a time....Joan
thomassl
If I have multiple items to dispute with a CRA should I send 1 letter listing a dozen different items, or should I send seperate letters for each. If sending seperate letters, should they go out on the same day, or should they be spread out?If it were me, I would never send multiple letters on the same day! A lot depends on what you are trying to accomplish and if there is a time factor involved...such as trying to possibly obtain a mortgage in the next few months and you want your report clean. Possibly you have a lot of items which are past the 7 yr. mark and should have come off...these I would definitely list on one letter. Since all of your letters are sent certified, you might want to take this cost in consideration as well. If you list your items detailed in your letter, such as account number, amount, company, it makes it easier for them to track it the first time. Getting this data off your credit report makes it easier to investigate.

If it is wrong - its wrong!
sjokinley
I disputed every negative TL on my reports-correct or not. So far I have gotten seven deletions of accts that were mine but couldn't be verified. The point is to clean up your credit report, not just help them correct information to collect debts of yours.I don't know why it would be a huge effort to dispute TL's? I did all mine online and it took all of about fifteen minutes. I have gotten awesome results from all three CRA's. Many people here say you should never dispute online, but CMRRR only, but that's a matter of personal preference. Read, read, read, and make up your own mind. If it's wrong, it's wrong...and I send it back. I wouldn't start complaining about every time I have been in this restaurant for the past 7 years, there's been something wrong with my dinner. But some people would...and that's a personal choice.
