serenity06
How can a person tell if a CA/JDB has the right to collect in your state? For example, I stay in South Carolina. Can the following CA/JDB collect in my state?* LVNV Funding* LHR, Inc. * NCO-Medclr* Consolidated RecoveryAlso, how do you really know if a CA has the right to collect for the CO?I, also, believe that I got ripped off because I paid RJM with my prepaid credit card to get the removed from my credit but they have not removed it yet. I did get a letter faxed to me. So what do I do now?
Recovering Attorney
CA have no incentive to remove items from your CR. 90% of the time they say yes, they really mean no.Your questions really has two parts:1. Is their a CA licensing requirement in SC? If som do these need to be licensed before they dun you. 2. Are theswe companies licensed to do bidness in SC, so they can maintain a legal action. serenity06
Are you telling me the answere to these 2 questions or are you restating them for someone to understand what I am asking?
CarolinaBlueEyes
I know for a fact LVNV, consolidated and NCO can collect in SC... in NC they have to be permits from the dept of insurance so start there.. LVNV main office is in SC...I have never heard of the other company you mention. As far as you being "ripped off" they rarely if ever update or change info.. they say they will.. but if you have a letter.. dispute it with the CR and then send a copy of it.. HELP ME please....
CarolinaBlueEyes
you can try disputing with the three CR agencies and also send DV letters to those that are writing you . however be aware if they verify it wil probably stay on your report for the seven years..LVNV is nasty as is NCO.. they are like roaches.. very hard to get off a CR:oops: LVNV is also lawsuit happy as well.. serenity06
I really don't like where this is going. It is suppose to come off of my credit 5/2007 at least that is what my report says. Can they renew the date?
merkurfan
Nope. print a copy of the report showing 05/07 asap and wait the damn thing out. Don't kick the bee's nest with so little time remaining. Make sure you have HARD COPY of the drop off date. LVNV is known for pulling stunts to make a account look newer than it is. Hard copy is proof of the drop of date before re-aged. It's also your ticket for a lawsuit should they try to reage.might as well make some money off their a$$ for the reage if they try it.
