someonesomewhere
Innovis seems now to have given up requiring one to pay for one's annual report, and they appear to be complying with the FACTA amendment, for now.Nothing spectacular about their report. someonesomewhere
http://www.innovis.com/customer_assistance.htmInnovis Consumer Assistance P.O. Box 1358 Columbus, OH 43216-1358 1-800-540-2505I just wrote for it and asked."In accordance with the FACTA amendment to the FCRA, please send me a free annual copy of my credit report."I gave 'em name, address, SSN, DOB and home phone. Probably don't need to give 'em home phone. You could try calling their 800 number. It's their nickel. Just ask for your free annual report. If they act or behave dumb, tell them, "Yes, the free copy of my annual credit report that Innovis is required to send me under the FCRA."Be polite but firm. Fizzle1979
I called Innovis today at 800-540-2505 press 1 for English (what country to we live in?) and then press 0. Live person comes on and I make my request per the FACTA. Verfies my SSN & Address and says I should get my report in 5 -10 days.
PolarBearnCO
I called Innovis today at 800-540-2505 press 1 for English (what country do we live in?)Sadly, this isn't America anymore, at least in some places. Denver is now 54% Hispanic... lol. White man is the repressed minority now! We're still allowed to sit anywhere on the bus, but I wouldn't want to. Gross, dirty, smelly, and non-English. At least whites and blacks spoke English together.I can't figure out what we'll call the new country, since we already have a "New Mexico." My votes are for Green Mexico, Clean Mexico (although we'd have to change that name in 50 years), Better Mexico. Better Mexico is my favorite.Don't know why the Hispanic community is in such an uproar when we talk about mass deportations or closing the border. Mexicans are a prideful people and I know they'd do something about it if tens of millions of Americans started crossing the borders into Mexico telling them they had to start speaking English for us. I'd bet if you called a CA in Guadalajara there would be no "press 2 for English" option. What has ever been equal about equal rights? The illegal Mexicans here should be treated the same way as illegal Americans would be treated.Edited to add... have a new favorite name for the new country. MEXICADA (you see the Canadian influence?).

PolarBearnCO
It has nothing to do with respect. It has nothing to do with Hispanics. I'd feel the same if I lived in Austria and 10 million Italians suddenly started hopping my borders. I'd feel the same if I was a penguin on Antarctica and all of sudden 10 million North Americans started pitching tents. There's a reason we have laws. There's a reason we have borders and an entire immigration system. Where's the respect for the law? You did mention respect, right? As far as I know Freedom of Speech is still a basic right in this country.I propose no Freedon of Speech in Mexicada. PolarBearnCO
Are you a Native American? They are the only group who has a right to complain about immigrants!!By blood, yes. By practice, not by a long shot. My mom's mom is 100% Cherokee. She married a German, who learned to speak English instead of forcing the country to adapt to his laziness. My dad's side of the family is Irish. They, as far as I know, came here legally, passing through Ellis Island. They already knew English, but if they hadn't, I bet they'd have tried to learn. My issue is that if someone wants to live in a country, they should #1 adapt to the societal norms. I don't mean changing their beliefs or religion, but at the very least, learn the freakin' language, and #2, do so legally.I'd love to live in Austria or possibly Poland. Hell, I studied French for 7 years thinking I'd immigrate to Canada. Never once will I ever entertain the idea of sneaking into a country illegally, nor living in a country and not try to learn the freakin' language. Heck, if you run from the cops because you don't understand the word "stop" you should be shot for ignorance... lol. In every country I have been in, the police and police cars always look the same... and don't even get me started about the stories of companies in Texas now accepting pesos as a currency. Legally, people have the right to trade in any manner they want (except gold bars, right?), but as an American?Made me sick earlier in the year when we had "Mexico Day" in Denver. Maybe it was all over the USA, but we had over 1 million Mexicans or Mexican-Americans clogging the city highways with Mexican flags all over their vehicles. What country are they in? If they are that prideful of Mexico, then why are they in the USA? They should be kissing the US flag that they are even in the country. Doesn't show respect for America, if you ask me. Again, someone mentioned respect, right? I dare you to go to Iraq and wave an American flag... lol.

My bf is latino and he is taking English classes. He is not going to learn overnight. It takes time. He also doesn't have a lot of people around him who speak English so the only practice he gets is when he is in school or with me. I try to help him as much as possible. He also doesn't have a lot of people around him who speak English so the only practice he gets is when he is in school or with me. I try to help him as much as possible.Aww, come on. Do you know what a racist is? My argument has absolutely nothing to do with race. I even went so far as to say that if I was a penguin, I'd still feel the same way if my ice shelf was invaded by outsiders. I'll call anyone lazy that is lazy. I would never solely call anyone that is Hispanic lazy. I'm calling all the people in this country who have lived here for decades and never bothered to learn the language lazy. There must be at least a couple of 'em since nearly every customer service center has options in English and Spanish. Funny they don't also have options for Italian, Russian, German, Danish, etc. Oh wait, that's because all the people that immigrate from those countries either know English or learn it. Just wait, in a dozen years or so, the prompts will change. English will no longer be option #1.Racist.. lmao. You think Germany wouldn't have a problem with 10 million Dutch sneaking into their country illegally? You think Sweden wouldn't have a problem with 10 million Ukrainians sneaking into their country illegally? You think Greece wouldn't have a problem with 10 million Irish sneaking into their country illegally? You think Canada wouldn't have a problem with 10 million Americans sneaking into their country illegally? There, four examples around the globe... all white majority, all fairly wealthy and industrious nations. It has nothing to do with race. We're simply the only country who's run by a bunch of scared voters with no huevos so nothing will ever get done about it. We look the other way and call it compassion.

aadam101
I'm not talking about speaking English. I'm talking about all the "lazy" people who did not get the FREE education we offer in this country. They can barely read or write. It's sad. I work for the Welfare department. We deal with MANY MANY MANY US born citizens.
