WILLY
Hello all...I am new to this board and the credit repair journey. I just wanted to introduce myself and comment that I sent out my first round of dispute letters to the bureaus last week. I've received most of the green cards back already...I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I will post my scores and the first round outcome soon. myscoresawful
Hello all...I am new to this board and the credit repair journey. I just wanted to introduce myself and comment that I sent out my first round of dispute letters to the bureaus last week. I've received most of the green cards back already...I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I will post my scores and the first round outcome soon.It depends a lot on the accounts. I have sent out 15 letters since 2/28/07 and have got all of my green cards back. Some of these CAs really push the limit, even though they don't have to reply (since I sent them out well after the initial 30 days that they contacted me). Two of them sent me replies the actual last day of the 30 days.I have had 4 collections deleted already and have sent out follow ups to 2 of the so called validations two other CAs have sent me.Don't stop if they send you print outs from their computer and nothing else. Dispute those! I had a CA send me out a contract from my old dental office a couple of days ago and when you read the contract, it shows the bill as paid in full. Either they didn't read it or they think I wouldn't. It shows nothing to support the $247 they say I still owe. A follow up went out to them CRRR yesterday!Don't ever give up! stancil1
Welcome Aboard Willy !I see your from Texas, one thing to remember in your journey here is that not only are you covered by the FDCPA and FCRA but by the TDCA as well which gives you an advantage that folks in other states don't have. WILLY
Thx all...I received all my green cards today. FYI..I sent them on 3/19, they were all signed for by the 24th and returned to me today the 30th. I was a little confused on where to send them since there was so many addresses but I guessed right!!! What advantage is the TDCA?I am currently enrolled in "myfico" with scorewatch (equifax). Is there a economical way to monitor all three scores daily that doesn't coat $15.95 each time I want a score update? My scores as of 3/5/07:Eq:647TU:598Ex:597***LET THE GAMES BEGIN***
MadinKS
There not true FICO scores but you can monitor your progress with TrueCredit. https://www.truecredit.com/products/optimizedOrder.jsp?versionID=0&package=TriBureauCM U&formName=freeTriBureauCMUChoice&cb=WalMart
someonesomewhere
What advantage is the TDCA?It has more teeth than federal law. More consumer friendly.I am currently enrolled in "myfico" with scorewatch (equifax). Is there a economical way to monitor all three scores daily that doesn't coat $15.95 each time I want a score update?Like MadinKS said, the Walmart link to TU's TrueCredit is $11.21 a month, and you can refresh your report and scores every day. Most folks in here seem to use TC, and it's what I use.Any score coming from the CRAs isn't a true FICO score. It's what's known as a FAKO. They aren't useless, but they aren't true FICO scores. They basically can serve as a guideline. As your FAKOs rise, your FICOs likely will as well. Perhaps not exactly at the same time or in the same way, but if you clean up a bunch of things on your CRs and your FAKOs jump 50-100 points, then your FICOs likely will rise as well. The only place to get true FICO scores is MyFico.com, and it costs. But don't order ANYTHING from MyFico.com without first searching this forum for MyFico discount codes. You can almost always find a 20% discount code.
