I would like to send a settlement offer letter to a creditor and I referred to the example letter posted on the website but I am confused. I don't understand the language and names that they are using and what names should I be putting in their place.

Can someone help me please.

If you've received a summons to go to court IT'S TOO LATE TO DV!

You need to answer the summons and GO TO COURT!!! If you do not go to court, you will have a judgment entered against you in default.

You should talk to a consumer protection attorney, you can find one in your area at www.naca.net Most consumer protection attorneys charge little to no fee to take your case.

Thanks.

My questions are for two different credit cards.

The first credit card that I spoke with the company about won'r stop calling me now and they are giving me deadlines to call them. I don't know what that's about. But I am going to try the steps that were suggested. I just don't understand the language, terms and abbreviations that are being used.

I just asked about getting sued etc and Divemedic gave a very good answer...

check it out....http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265024

ALSO,

How much are you being sued for and when is the date, are you going to be able to show up? how many collections do you have??

ETc Etc.

If you want us to help you... you have to provide ALL the details.

As far as the phone calls, tell them this, " I need you to stop calling me, this is notice to cease and desist phone contact with me... you may contact me by mail only" and then just hang up, that should stop the calls......right now, send them a letter stating the same thing. I need you to stop calling me, this is notice to cease and desist phone contact with me... you may contact me by mail only.

also for abbrv's..

So, I referred to the link above.(thanks)

My CC billios for $1,000. The hearing is 4/4. I don't see anything this summons for an answer filing. It does say that if I want to dispute the claim, that I should have a lawyer. I emailed one of the attorneys for the website that someone gave me.
