Renai3
I know the advice is not to call a CA. However, I'm getting these messages, they don't say who they are, or who they are calling for/about. These messages could actually be for someone else (4 years with this phone number and I still get messages for other people constantly!). All they say is, "My name is ______ and you (no name) need to contact me about an important matter at [insert # here]." There are different people and different numbers. I've kept one of each message on my machine. What do I do with these phone calls? Should I call them back just to see who they are? I can't look them up because there is no info other than a phone number to go by!Thanks (I hope this is a valid question),Renai
MadinKS
Did you try whocalledus.com? Google the phone # and it should direct you to the site. Hope it works.

Hope it works.Oh, good grief (or in other words, duh!). I was trying to go through reversephonedirectory.com and not getting anything or it wanted money to give info. I finally googled, and came up with a couple of the companies. Funny thing is, I haven't found their websites. The info is posted to other forums from people being harrassed by these guys. I also got info from 800notes.com (people reporting numbers). The companies I found are: LTD Financial Services, True Logic Financial and CCS.I cannot find info on 1-877-309-9445 or 1-800-467-4748. Funny thing is, I only have two debts, so don't know why I'm getting so many calls. Thanks so much for your reply.Renai

CarolinaBlueEyes
I called the number from my fax machine since I am pretty sure we dont live near each other.. lolsome guy answered Doug something properties and asked if this was regarding a credit card issue.. of course I hit the fax button and he got the annoying beep.I tried a second time since I couldnt understand everything he said and I got a voice mail that said hey this is doug... so it sounds like he is running a one man show out thereTO find these number I just always call after hours on another line if you can. or even yours afer midnight since most of them have gone home by then and you can get the company name from a voice mail if you hold long enough

The little stinker had caller id (another duh!) and called me back, leaving a message. He said I had called about a credit card issue- interesting, I never left a message. That is the only call I received from him since I've posted this thread. I did receive a call from Midpoint today, I posted about that one in another thread. I have received NO other calls from the other guys. Which is still confusing that I was receiving so many since I only have two debts. So, I guess I'm just waiting for them to send me something by mail. Which obviously will be never.Renai
Renai3
I FOUND FORWARD PROPERTIES! I only recognize the name Doug in the email (Debtor Line), it could be the same Doug on the voice mail when I called the 800 number. CantCU
From their website:---------------------Forward Properties International, Inc. (FPII)* has emerged as a leader in the debt buying industry. Gordon Engle, the President and CEO of FPII, founded Forward Properties in 1990, and his company recently surpassed the $2 billion debt purchase plateau. FPII serves a distinguished client base comprised of small to mid-sized collection agencies and collection law firms, selling pools of debt on a state, regional and national basis.---------------------- In other words, they are a JDB. I would have to answer the phone next time they called...LOL. I would have to tell them I am recording the conversation, and ask them who they are trying to reach. If it weren't me, I'd tell 'em to FOAD. If they were looking for me, I'd have to tell them to send me a letter, then hang up the phone.

I'm thinking to send a letter stating that I have received calls at such #, please state in writing the person trying to reach, the purpose of the call, and no more calls at such #. Then sign with phone number and address, but no name.Renai
