bridgett68
Since disputing with CA a negative TL that was only on TU has now popped up on EX. Can they do that ? The CA last reported the TL on TU 12/2004, 3 years later can they insert it on another TL with no notice ?I sent DV to CA , they didnt validate properly now they reporting on another CRA.Am I wrong to think they are in violation ? kevin3344
Yes, if they have an agreement with that CRA. However, they cannot change the Date of 1st Delinquency. On your EX report it might say 'Date Reported: 3/07' but it should say also 'this item to continue on record until XXXX date' and that date should be 7 years from the DOFD.________GONG BONG Edited September 9, 2011 by kevin3344
SecretAgentWoman
I find it not unusual at all that if you dispute one TL, sometimes it backfires and you get MORE negatives added. Now, I would say you get more deletes than adds so I still recommend it, but it happened to me, too. I dispute one tradeline and the CA decides suddenly to report to the other bureaus they weren't previously reporting to. It's legal, and frustrating.
