GucciMark
I'm curious as to what othershere have experienced.....If you dispute a TL with the CRA as "Not Mine" does that create a Fraud Alert? and freeze your account? What was your experience? VonAngel (aka EarthAngel)
If you dispute it continuously as "not mine", then yes, they'll slap your CR w/ a FA.
winter97
I had great luck with "not mine" for the first 4 collections last year. I hadn't tried to get anything off for over 6 months. I had just one left that had hung on from my last round. So I called in my dispute. I told here that I didn't recognize the collection and disputed it as not mine. I also had an car that wasn't reporting the current pay status and balance. I just said that isn't the right balance. BAM fraud alert showed up! :roll:But the collection came off and the balance is right!Oh well I just got 3 Amex cards! that's all the credit I need for a looonnnggg time! So I can just wait the 90 days.
VonAngel (aka EarthAngel)
W/ ID theft increasing, CRAs are taking additional precautions. Do a search for "fraud alert" to learn how to get them removed prior to the 90 days.
