frankie123
So I sent out my 1st set of letters to the CRA's. Each letter had 3 disputes. Do I wait 30 days, or send off another round of disputes say in a week? Or should I just dispute them all in one shot? I see different opinions on the boards. Please let me know what ahs worked for you. Thanks!

frankie123
I have disputed lates on Student loan, Capital One Auto, and a loate on a mortgage. I have a bankruptcy that was discharged back in 03. I plan to dipute the items under tha bakruptcy first, then the BK itself. Thats if I can get that far.I have a couple collections that have been reported, but they are not for much $$ (45$ to $75).And thats about it. I guess I will send out the next round of letters on Thursday then!
someonesomewhere
I have disputed lates on Student loan, Capital One Auto, and a loate on a mortgage. Were any of these included in your BK? If so, I don't believe they can be listed on your CRs.I have a bankruptcy that was discharged back in 03. I plan to dipute the items under tha bakruptcy first, then the BK itself.Umm, you're disputing the BK itself? Uhhhhhh. I don't think you can and I don't think you wanna do that.I have a couple collections that have been reported, but they are not for much $$ (45$ to $75).Are they with the CA or the OC? frankie123
The Student Loan and Auto lates are not included in the BK, this came after the BK.Why not dispute the items under the BK?And the items under collection are with the CA. I plan the DV them and dispute with CRA's at the same time. I have called the OC and they dont budge. Im hoping they will PFD these items
blondie813
Why not dispute the BK?I disputed a BK discharged in 2002 and it was removed all together from EQ. Still showing on the other 2 CRAs. Still working on it. I also disputed TLs that were "included in BK" and only have 1 TL left with that status on 2 reports that I will continue to dispute until it is gone...one of which is EQ...I thought about maybe going the route of contacting EQ and saying "how can I have an account that is included in BK if I don't have a BK?" LOLworth a shot, I guess.
someonesomewhere
The Student Loan and Auto lates are not included in the BK, this came after the BK.If you have any proof the accounts were not late, and they won't change it, then that's a violation and you can sue. If they were late, and they verify, you could try goodwilling. However, goodwilling after disputing might make them disinclined to goodwill after the lates. But, worth a try.Why not dispute the items under the BK?Because I don't believe TLs included in the BK can be listed on your CRs. However, you might be better served asking BK questions in the BK forum.http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=183And the items under collection are with the CA. I plan the DV them and dispute with CRA's at the same time. I have called the OC and they dont budge. Im hoping they will PFD these itemsHit the CA first, with the DV and disputes you're planning. Are you out from under the SOL on these?
frankie123
Well the 30 day lates are "legit" and the collections are only a couple years old. It sucks real bad that the collections are so low yet so hurtful.I guess I will try PFD and if they dont go for that then I will DV and send a dispute tot he CRA's at the same time. Mybe cath them slipping up.Will see. Thanks again for all the advice.
Kat99
Okay, I am really becoming addicted to this creadit clean up. I am making mistakes within the postings, etc. but am getting there so thanks for everyone's support and uderstanding. Here is where I am at:FAKOS4/4/07TU/543 EQ/576 EX/517FICO4/04/07TU/576 EQ/583 EX/597Have a total of 4 negative TLs on CRs (1 is a $100 tax lien, dont know what it is). I just completed my first round of online disputes and got lucky with 2 negative TLs being deleted by one of the agencys yet verified by the 2 other CRAs. I have read and read and read and I believe my next step is to DV the remaining CAs that verified with the CRAs and then re dispute with the CRAs within a few days???? Can someone please confirm as I am wanting to just pay the OC on one of them as it is a dental bill for $125. It is with a CA now so dont know if I should take that route or not. I am ready and willing to learn and am on my way to repairing credit but am at the beginning and dont want to make an unfixable error. Any help would be appreicated. I have re-read and re-read the debtconsolidation thread/primer numerous times.
someonesomewhere
Well the 30 day lates are "legit"Goodwilling can work with lates. Some report success. Others not so much. I had a few successes with it. Nothing to lose but 39 cents by trying.the collections are only a couple years old. It sucks real bad that the collections are so low yet so hurtful.PFD, especially if it's a small amount. For something under $100, maybe offer 'em 75% of what's owed but stand firm on the delete. If they won't budge, then offer up the full amount, but only with a delete.Mybe cath them slipping up.If you can catch 'em in even one violation, that $1,000 is pretty good negotiating power to get a delete on a small account.
