marohan
I have sent 5 validation letters to asset asking for how they calculate what they say i owe. I received the standard fraud letter and contact police, someone elses bill with the same name as mine, and now i recieve contact the Consumer Resolution Unit. (a)Is it time to sue in small claims court since they have been constantly updating credit report without validation?( or is it "wise" to try to contact and try to settle for a pay for delete with intent to sue and not a clear piece of validation. someonesomewhere
If you timely DVed the CA, I presume you kept good records? Copy of the letter sent, CM receipt, RRR card, USPS receipt with the CM number perhaps? If so, and they continue to call, write or report, then they are in violation. Each letter and each call. dpgirl
It would not be wise to offer to pay on any account that is not yours. Offering to pay for delete is in effect admitting that this debt is yours and you say it is not, so do not do that.
sjokinley
I got the same letter from them. I plan to write them again and demand dv. They should still have to validate my debt, no matter what.
