redbank
I am hoping someone has been in this situation with a similar listing with transunion. Here is my cap1 listing with transunion:CAPITAL ONE SERVICES # xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxPOB 30281SALT LAKE CITY, UT 84130-0281(800) 955-7070Balance: $ 0Date Updated: 10/2006High Balance: $ 267Past Due: $ 0Pay Status: Paid or paying as agreedAccount Type: Revolving AccountResponsibility: Individual AccountDate Opened: 11/2000Date Paid: 03/2003Loan Type: Revolving Account - Credit Card>Maximum delinquency of 90 or more days occurred in 02/2003 for $ 0<This is listed as negative. Transunion keeps lates for 48 months. If claim that I do not recognize this account (since it happens to be cap1 then I am guessing it will get verified) will it at least force an update? If it would update this month, the lates would be off the 48 month record..... Would it then go to positive status with transunion or stay negative?2 underlined questions are what I am looking for out of this postThanks

I tried to goodwill them recently for my one 30 days late and they refused to do so at all... I even went to the CEO... try it though... you never know what results you may get... I am sure that it is totally dependent on the mood of the day
mommabear
The guy I talked to at the place my home loan is through said that a 30 day late hurts for 2 years. It will stay on for longer than that, but it only hurts for 2 years. You *could* dispute it as "never late" and see where that gets you. Or you could try a goodwill letter. It's Capital One though...but its worth a shot!
redbank
thanks! I hope it does only hurt for 2 years, but I have never heard that before. I figured it hurt the whole seven.oh well, thanks for responses!
