JuniorNY
I have a couple items that was reported in '00. After 7 years do they automatically fall off your credit report or do you have keep an eye on it yourself and stay on top of the CRA's to purge it? willingtocope
Good things pretty much stay forever. Negatives are supposed to fall off 7-1/2 years after the "date of first delinquency"...although, the CRAs seem to use 7 years.
JuniorNY
Do they roll off automatically or do you have to harass them to do expunge?
gypsie
Sometimes both. Usually they fall off automatically.
LNY
Good things don't stay forever... they stay up to 10 years. And there's nothing you can do if they fall off after 5, because there's no law that says they have to be there at all.
SugarNspice
I have something on my CR thats suppose to fall off this month and I spoke with someone from Transunion earlier today. The lady told me they usually automatically come off but if it doesnt by the end of the month that it was suppose to fall off to give them a call and they'll remove it. direred
Like little lemmings near a cliff, they jump off all by themselves.
kemiren
I've got some stuff that's supposed to come off too, and I am going to keep an eye on it as well.
SecretAgentWoman
Haven't had issues with my lemmings making the plunge with no effort from me, and if I dispute them a couple of months early sometimes I can get them pushed off!hehe
