stancil1
Disputing with the CRA should be the first thing you do anyway !

Has anyone ever had success with things falling off of you reports just by sending a dispute letter to the CRA's????You can dispute with the CRA's only if you wish but if the CA's are not bothering you, you could possibly awaken them to the debt and you start receiving letters or calls from them. Sometimes it's better to leave them alone and let them fall off your credit report in the 7 yr. time period. CA's have hundreds and hundreds of accounts and if they are not bothering with yours, l'd leave it alone! If you want specifics about these accounts, you need to post them as they appear on your credit report so we can assist you in what to do.

pinkeysas
I have read the flow chart. I was just thinking that by disputing with the CRA's rather then making contact with the CA's was maybe a better way to get these things to come off faster. Sometimes it's better to leave them alone and let them fall off your credit report in the 7 yr. time period.I would LOVE to just let these items fall off. But I am buying a house this year and need these items gone!!! Thomassl I will list the items as they are listed on my 3 CR's as you've asked so that you have a better idea of what I'm dealing with:EXPERIAN CREDIT REPORTCA- Afni, Inc.OC- CingularScheduled to continue on record until : Sep 2009Date Opened- 12/2004 (I dont think this is right.)Reported Since- 1/2005Last Reported- 1/2005Recent Balance- $485 as of 1/2005High Balance- n/aCA- Equinox Financial MgmtOC- Alpha communications Inc.Scheduled to continue on record until: June 2009Date Opened: 1/2003Reported Since: 1/2003Last Reported: 1/2003Recent Balance: $293 as of 1/2003High Balance: n/aCA- Midland Credit MgmtOC- SBC AmeritechScheduled to continue on record until: Jan 2009Date Opened: 12/2005Reported Since: 7/2002Last Reported: 12/2006Recent Balance: $134 as of 12/2006High Balance: n/aTRANSUNION CREDIT REPORTCA- AfniOC- 10 CingularBalance- $485Date Updated: 1/2005Loan Type: Factoring company accountDate placed for collections: 12/2004Estimated removal date: 11/2009CA- Midland Credit Mgmt, Inc.OC- SBC AmeritechBalance: $135Date Updated: 2/2007Loan Type: Factoring company accountDate placed for collection: 12/2005Estimated removal date: 6/2009EQUIFAX CREDIT REPORTCA- Midland Credit MgmtOC- SBC AmeritechDate Opened: N/ADate Reported: 12/2006Balance: $
