Gandolf
I just recently got my final baddy off of my EQ report, a paid collection account. This increased my score from 685 to 737 overnite. The best thing is, I had already disputed it as not mine twice and got nowhere. I guess this is where the saying "third time's the charm" comes from! My EQ was in the high 500's when I came here. Thanks everyone.

UNCForest
Wow, awesome. So, you submitted your disputes by letter? online? And each time, you stayed with "not mine" ?

I had had perfect credit even since getting my first cards in 2003, scores were in the 700's. All of the baddies were within the last year, although some had been brewing for month before ever making it onto my credit report. A string of some very bad luck financially caused me to run up my credit card balances very high about a year ago and I then missed one credit card payment and got a 30 day late. Shortly after this I had 2 accounts, a university bill and an apartment bill go to collections. In a matter of a few months my scores went from the mid-high 700's to the high 500's. I called the credit card company (saks fifth avenue) and asked them to please remove the 30 day late as a courtesy and they agreed. However, only equifax and transunion removed it. I disputed many times with EX but kept getting those crappy form letters back and it remained on my report. I even obtained a letter directly from the OC and sent it to them and they STILL didn't remove. Just today, from the same set up dispute letters I sent out last month, I got the whole account removed from my EX and the score went from 627 to 640.All the other, the collection accounts, I have removed by disputing to the CRAs. The one CA was now removed from all 3 CRAs. It fell off the first time I disputed with EX and TU, but it took 3 tries with EQ. The other CA is the only baddy I have, only left on 2 of my CRAs. I included this in my dispute I sent out last month and I have yet to get the response back, so I am hoping this will fall off as well.Right now my EQ is totally clean, aside from the high utilization, and is at 737. TU has just the one paid collection and is at 702. EX has the same collection, listing it as unpaid, and is at 640. I plan to have them all in the high 700's very soon. Keep pushing and never give up. Each set of disputes has brought me closer and closer to my goal.
