Newbie here. I just wanted to say that this is an excellent source for people looking to repair thier credit. I have learned so much just by reading the threads.

So here is my situation. I have 2 PD loans reported on Teletrack stemming back from 04 and 05. They have not be paid YET. I would like to know the best way to get these removed before I contact them with my intention to do so.

Secondly, I had a CA with BofA reffered to collections that has been paid of earlier last year but still appears on chexsystems. This one im really concerned with removing since it is prohibiting me from opening up an IRA at a bank

Can anyone give me advice on the best course of action to have these 3 itmes removed?

Thanks all

gerald

It's really up to the bank as far as chexsystems goes. I contacted a bank I use to do business with, the total amount I owed them was for $121.00 and every penny of it was for service fees, not any money they had paid on my checks, but the service fees they'd charged me when the checks went back.

Anyway, I contacted chexsystems and asked them about removing it and they told me it would be up to the bank that was reporting it, that sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.

I contacted the bank since there was ONLY 8 months left in the five year limit to report it and asked them if they would remove it if I paid the money and they said "No".

I told them I had lived without a bank for almost 5 years that I could live without one another 8 months and they still said no.

So I didn't pay it and opened a new checking account 8 months later.

BofA might be more lenient, I don't know.

That seems so stupid on their part. They could have an extra 121 bucks, but no, ...you almost wonder if they think it would hurt their pride or something.

myscoresawful,

Hmmm, I'll give it a try. i know I settled for less than then what was owed. First I'll ask preety please with sugar on top and hopefully they will remove. Otherwise I will have to offer to pay the remaining and see if that works.

I could wait it out but thats another year and change I don't wanna wait. Well see what happens. Any other sources I could use or articles I can read? thanks for the reply.

UNCForest, Completely agree with you there. You would think banks are in it for the $$$ no matter how they get it.

Thanks for the reply.
