Jenny22
To this forum and your advice - because of your advice and the awesome amount of information available here, I have significantly improved mine & my husband's situation. And I owe it all to your help!First, because of the information I gathered here, I was able to respond to a summons from Capital 1, which resulted in dismissal of the case. I had absolutely NO prior knowledge of even answering a summons, let alone HOW to answer it. Second, I was in a BAD situation with my car - I bought it new 5 years ago, but was financed at an unbelievably high interest rate. Since then, I had gotten married and my husband is now in school so we were struggling to make the payments. I had tried to refinance 2 times by the same company (Wells Fargo) and they refused both times. Because of the information I found here, I am incredibly happy to report that on Wednesday of last week, I was approved for a loan through e-loans at an incredibly low interest rate, and on Tuesday of this week, I traded in that Honda Civic for an '06 SUV, which is exactly what I wanted. My payments are lower and even my insurance is lower. I knew there had to be a way for people in my situation. I am just so grateful for the help I received here. There's just not words for how much I thank you for the guidance and advice I have found here. Its truly improved our lives a great deal!!! MUCH LOVE!!!! drivers86
Congrats indeed! I am currently contending with some CA's for Cap1. I sent DV letters and they have yet to receive proof that I owe the debt. No contractsNo proof that the SOL has expired (GA law is 4 years) from last paymentI'm wondering, which letter did you send? Did you send it to a CA or to the OC Cap1? I'm scheduled to attend Mediation this Thursday which seems useless since they haven't produced anything.
