Hi,

First I want to thank you all because this forum has already been more than helpful....

My question is this:

I have begun the debt validation process. I have writen my letters to the CAs. However, I need to know what method should I use to dispute the item with the credit bureau? Is it okay to simply dispute online or do I need to mail their "thingy" certified as well?

PS: I disputed something online with Experian this morning....it was an old debt for $55 for a returned check. I disputed because I paid it in January. Since the agency was still reporting it and I paid it over two months ago, will it automatically come off? Or will it simply be a paid collection?

Send everything to the CRAs & CAs CMRRR!

STOP using the online disputes with the CRAs, as it MAY bind your to an arbitration clause which means that you may not be able to sue the CRAs.

As far as you paying something, it will be noted as PAID COLLECTION and stay on your CR for up to 7 years.

I don;t know how well "thingys" travel in the mail. Best to use extra packing.

I know.....sorry about that...::laugh:: I teach elementary school....I thought had two sixth graders cheating on a math test! Thanks for the laugh!

I would like to dispute this item (do I have to give a reason).

How much do I need to say.....

PS: I am so proud of my validation letters....now if I can make to the postoffice....I've become addicted to this site.
