VidaB
Hi, First I want to thank you all because this forum has already been more than helpful....My question is this:I have begun the debt validation process. I have writen my letters to the CAs. However, I need to know what method should I use to dispute the item with the credit bureau? Is it okay to simply dispute online or do I need to mail their "thingy" certified as well?PS: I disputed something online with Experian this morning....it was an old debt for $55 for a returned check. I disputed because I paid it in January. Since the agency was still reporting it and I paid it over two months ago, will it automatically come off? Or will it simply be a paid collection? As far as you paying something, it will be noted as PAID COLLECTION and stay on your CR for up to 7 years.
