cracrap Posted April 12, 2007 Report Share Posted April 12, 2007 i have my wife as an authorized user on a couple of credit cards so that she can generate a credit score...hyopthetically speaking..if i removed her as an au , and then defaulted on the account after she had already been removed from the account,,1.would this delinquencyshow up on her report after she had already been removed?? 2. how long do they keep reporting an au after removal?? 3. and would the original positive history that was first reported stay on her report even though the account went into default?? newbie7069 Posted April 13, 2007 Report Share Posted April 13, 2007 If you think that you are likely going to default on these accounts, then by all means remove her as an AU. After she is removed from the accounts, then she can dispute the TLs on her CR to get them removed. But if you wait to remove her until after defaulting then it can be harder to get the TL off for her.
