jo4532
The letter from the collection agency said.We are unable to conduct a reasonable investigation in response to the notice we received disputing or questioning the above captioned account because you failed to provide sufficient info to investigate the dispute as required under section 623a8 of the FCRAUnder that section you are required to provide us with a notice that:Identifies the specifi item of info that is in dispute and etc.. willingtocope
Ah...okay. Who did you dispute with? The credit bureau, or the collection agency? Was it in writing? Was it in response to a "this is an attempt to collect a debt letter"?

willingtocope
So, if I understand correctly, you disputed with EQ...they informed the CA...the CA deleted their tradeline from EQ...and then sent you a letter saying, in effect, "we don't understand what you were disputing"...right?If that's the case, ignore the letter (its not your problem to provide them with the information to put on your credit report), and go dispute the same thing with the other credit bureaus.
