MadinKS
Who is Chief Credit Officers? Is that the name of the company or are you referring to the bigwigs of the company? I sent an really nice GW email to the CEO of a CA and within 5 days I received this. It's a start. So, if it's a paid TL and it's a little older it just may work. Good luck.Mr. MadinKS,I have reviewed the account you referenced. It appears to me that this account was reported accurately(in other words, we got nothin'). However, since the matter was resolved more than four years ago, we have decided to direct the credit reporting agencies to remove the item. Please contact me if you have any questions. Sincerely,Mike HoltzVice President of Operations
someonesomewhere
My two cents, it depends. With a multi-billion dollar bank, I cannot see a GW letter getting anywhere near a CEO, or any other executive. With a small CU, hospital or other small outfit, then I think GW to a CEO or other exec might make sense. My overall opinion is that GW comes a lot easier from another working stiff than from an exec who's initial response I believe would be, "If you want GW, then pay yer bills on time." Experiences may differ.I have only sent my goodwill letters to the CEO of the companies. All the companies were large credit card companies or utilities and even one of the most obnoxious of credit card companies. I am happy to say so far ALL my goodwill letters have worked. All my goodwill letters were sent by email except one that was sent snail mail. Two of the CEOs responded to my email personally the others outsourced my request. My response time ranged from ~20 minutes to my most recent which took about two months, but yesterday I got another letter (from evil credit card giant) saying they would delete. EX and EQ have deleted; still waiting for TU to delete.

someonesomewhere
How would you suggest getting a hold of executive e-mail address?First step is getting the name if you don't already know it. Many companies have their executives listed under investor info. If they hide it, try googling for it.For example, punch in "citibank ceo", and the names Sandy Weill and Charles Prince should pop up in the search. Now, still in google, punch in "wiki Sandy Weill citibank" or "wiki Charles Prince citibank".Read both wiki pages, and you'll see that Weill is the former CEO and that Prince is the current CEO. someonesomewhere
Would anyone recommend sending goodwill letters to accounts that aren't paid or settled?I got one deleted thru GW that had been settled for less than the full amount. However, if it's not paid at all since going delinquent, then I'm not sure why an OC would show any GW.

Drew
Well, as you all may now know, the unpaid account was not deleted or settled though the OC.As for the other four I sent GW letters to, I got one back saying they wouldn't delete any accurate information. What should I do next for these?

someonesomewhere
With GW letters, you don't wanna push hard. Give it time. Let the letter sit for a couple weeks to a month.Who'd you get a response back from?
Drew
Someone at the executive offices. Definitely not the people I sent them to.

someonesomewhere
Target has a tough reputation. I've tried 2 GW letters. Got no response and no GW.Not sure about Dell's reputation, but I don't foresee how you're going to get GW from Dell if you still owe 'em money.GW is something of a desparate act. It's somewhere between begging and panhandling, but with a shower, a smile, and no aggressive behavior.Reports of success with GW have come from those seeking the deletion of late payments. If the OC has already been paid, they they aren't out anything by giving some GW. GW means appealing to their humanity to give you a break after you tried to make things right by paying up. Drew
The GW I was looking for was settling the account through them. but also getting the TL deleted off my credit report. They said to contact the CA and basically promised to keep the negative TL on my report after payment was made.
someonesomewhere
OK, that's really a PFD situation. Not a very agreeable proposal from the OC.Is the CA calling or writing you? Did you DV them?
