akins503
Can a CA report to the bureaus before they contact you about the debt? I have an inquiry on my experian report from Online Info Services on behalf of Performance Capital Management. I already drafted a letter to Online Info Services with the address given. I told them provide proof thay can pull my credit or pay me $1000.00 blah blah blah. As of today PCM isn't on my reports. I also did some research and found PCM to be in Bankruptcy. They are well known for violating the laws. This may end up being fun if they contact me. I just wasn't sure if they could report w/out contacting you first? Thanks
Big Time
Yeah, they pretty much can, and whether that counts as communication with you is debateable.I would send a DV like this:It has come to may attention that you have placed a TL on my reports...I consider that to be intital communication wityh me by a debt collector...I have no knowledge of this debt...I dipute this alleged debt in it's entirety...That should give you some leverage if their TL doesn't go away when you also dispute it with the CRA's.
