niteeyes
I have disputed a debt w/Midland Credit Midand and the "Big 3", and got ready for a thirty-day wait. Ha! The very next day Equifax sent notice of the dispute results. MCM is reporting twice on the same account. This is not mine, and the OC shows as Newport News-FCNB. I have tried to dispute this with the OC (FCNB), but they went bankrupt several years ago, and I can't find a contact number for them. Now, I spoke to EQ on 4-13 and advised the acct. was reported twice w/all info the same, and why was EQ allowing MCM to continue to report this. The EQ rep said that MCM had verified the debt. She then went on to say that she did see the acct. was being reported twice, and started a reinvestigation. Does anyone know how I can actually find a contact for FCNB so that I can dispute this debt with the OC? Any info is appreciated.
SecretAgentWoman
First National Bank of Omaha 888-530-3626 Supposedly this bank took over old FCNB accounts. Wether they will have any info on yours, I dunno.

kevin3344
I thought I would comment on this post because you said you have 1 nerve left, so right there you are doing something wrong. Never let the credit repair process get on your nerves! You have to have patience and a strategy.First, send your disputes CMRRR. For the most part don't dispute online and never talk to a OC/CA on the phone. Everything should be in writing.Don't contact the OC because there is nothing they can do; it's with a CA now and you will have to deal with them. No doubt the JDB bought the debt and it's probably not even yours, so calling the OC will do little good.
