CSC Credit Services (for those of us unlucky enough)

Recommended Posts

If you have CSC (first off I'm sorry) instead of Equifax, and you need to speak to an individual, the ph.# is 281-878-1900. DO NOT CHOOSE OPTION 1. Just stay on the line and let someone answer. Thought I'd pass it on. The sticky # is disconnected BTW. Just got the FAX # 281-878-5088

Are you talking about disputing? I did an online dispute with them cause I am one of the lucky ones. And I have tried to go back to check the status of my disputes only to find that my log in name and password are not recognized.

I know what I am typing is correct because when i set up the log in name and password i got an email confirming it. But now i cannot long in so I am wondering if they even are following through with my dispute????

Pink-I'm talking about anything you need to do. I would do a follow-up on that online dispute. I did an online on 3/29 and she had NO record of my dispute. I had to go through them all again on the phone. I would definitely call them. Good luck

SAW,

I do NOT however, appreciate the signiture.

I'm sorry. I just had to let everyone know that I was first for once. Hope you don't mind. xangelx

I would like to apologize in advance for MadinKS's "issues."

Clever. I like it. ::punk::

I wonder why when I printed out my Credit report I was able to do so with Equifax but to dispute I was referred to CSC????

From what I understand, Equifax is not responsible for keeping track of our information, CSC is. But Equifax takes credit for their cronies work. It sucks being the little guy. :hmmmmm:

CSC also offers support to the collections industry?

http://www.csc.com/solutions/creditservices/offerings/59.shtml

from the CSC website:

FINDERS

FINDERS is a report designed for the collection industry that compiles decoded inquiry and trade information into a concise summary report to help credit grantors locate “skipped” accounts. Trade information and telephone numbers of the creditors are provided.

FirstSearch

FirstSearch is a front-end skip-tracing tool designed to return the freshest contact information on delinquent debtors along with the reported date. FirstSearch returns location information from various proprietary sources who are among the first to know when a consumer has moved or requested service associated with a physical address.

ID Report - Full & Limited

This report provides the ID section of the credit file to assist in locating skipped accounts or to validate identification information. Full ID Report returns all of the ID section and Limited ID Report returns only the name and address and is used for customers with non-permissible purpose.

RE-APPEAR

RE-APPEAR is an automated skip-locate tool for increasing debt recovery rates and maximizing productivity. It is an automated notification tool providing consumer locate information to collection professionals seeking to contact or monitor a “skipped” consumer to recover debt. RE-APPEAR monitors skipped debtors daily for new activity and notifies you within 24 hours when information is posted to the credit file.

DART - Detailed Account Resolution Tool

DART, a product unique to CSC, is an account receivable management solution that combines solid credit information from our Custom Portfolio Review product with non-credit database information. It prioritizes and determines collection strategies, identifies bankruptcy and deceased accounts, cleans up data files and provides access to skip tracing information in a timely and cost-efficient manner. DART allows CSC Credit Services to augment credit information with more than a dozen public and proprietary databases.

Decision Power for Healthcare

This decision-making tool provides an instant action message with the ability to utilize custom models, judgmental criteria, decision matrices and custom codes. Once the patient's information has been transmitted to the CSC/Equifax system, the credit file is retrieved, identification is verified, identification fraud is detected, and risk is assessed – taking approximately 5 to 7 seconds to deliver a response back to the client. This helps to eliminate the client's staff from having to analyze and evaluate risk based on credit reports and risk scores.

That's not a conflict there, what with the credit reporting bureau function and all that?

I got their newly formatted credit report yesterday.

It's even worse than the old one. Now, I'm an intelligent person, and I found it incredibly hard to read and understand.

And their website! Ugh, you have to re-register every single time and half the time you get errors. It doesn't work with IE 7, either. I found out after beating my head against errors a hundred times and finally trying FireFox. Worked with that browser.

One thing I got to hand to Experian, their website is very user friendly and their credit reports are laid out in an easy to read and understand format.

CSC bites.

I wouldn't suggest doing any online disputes w/CSC. I did an online w/them back in March. I called to find out the status and she said it wasn't showing up. So, I had to re-initiate the dispute on the April 17. They suck a$$. In all aspects.

  • 1 month later...

As of today, 05/30/07 the number originally listed by MadinKS still works. And they still speak clear southern English.. Now if only their computers worked.... a nice lady transfered me to the "dispute" people, and I got a record message that the systems where down and call back in a hour.

y'all come back now ya hear?

You know, that is funny, because my log-in information just disappeared too. I even checked the confirmation email to make sure I wasn't losing my mind.
