Macy's approval!!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

I just couldn't contain it ANYMORE! ::spew::

I got approved for a Macy's card today! My limit is only 100.00, but I truly feel that this is fair and that it's a good place to start. It isn't my intent to get a bunch of high credit limits anyway. So, anyway...thought I'd share...

::punk::

OH and guess what? I checked my EXPERIAN credit report as it was suggested I do (by LNY I think???) and my FICO was 597! That's the highest I've ever gotten it folks!! It's been like PULLING TEETH to get my credit files improved, but with this board and you folks...and time, time and more time...it's happened. So, I just thought I'd share! And I used my Orchard card as proof of my identity for the app. So...as it stands now we're possibly going to get that refinance on our home after all!!!!! Still keeping my fingers crossed on that one.

That is great!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!

I applied for mine, used it a bit and as of today all 3 are reporting...(3 weeks time) Are you still getting the WaMu pre-approvals?

My dh was getting those and we did get ONE more. I need to check his credit reports because honestly, that may have been WHY he got those! Gosh, I'm such a DOLT sometimes!

Congrats!

BTW, when my EQ FICO was 598, I was approved for an HSBC Union Plus card (I joined the Steelworker's Union as an associate member, though there are other unions you can qualify with). So you're really coming up in the world!

Macy's has been very good to me. I had $200 initially, then it was bumped up to $300 at six months, then $1500 at one year.

My dh is a member of the Local 66 (Sheetmetal Workers Union) and I am still a member of the Local 751 (Machinists) not sure if either of those are apart of that program or not. Who knows.

Thanks!! I do hope for a CLI of course....eventually. So, 1500.00 at one year-aye??? Hmm...goals.
