merkurfan
Just want to make sure I am on the right page here. I have two old accounts from 2001 that are on my report under the OC.The TL's on all 3 reports are different. One OC First Bank Trust shows C/O and past due $575 on TU, late 180 on EX and Current on EQ (have not made a payment since 02) They also have all the balances different and the credit limits different. The other is providian.. Again they have things wrong. on TU/EX they are showing secured credit card (it was not) on EQ they show credit extension. TU shows C/O EX shows 180 late EQ shows 120 late. Basically the same as above. Arrow also shows this account late 120 days and past due 1956. The original credit limit was 300. They have tacked on lots of fees I guess. I know this information is not correct as all of it is different. I also know I can't really DV them. So what is my plan of attack on this account? Send them a letter asking for account records knowing they probably don't have them? I've done the dispute with the CRA's should I try that angle again? Obviously they verified the incorrect information to all three unfortunately I don't have the records from the original dispute. Thanks in advance for all your advice. stancil1
You need to send a request to verify, http://www.creditinfocenter.com/forms/sampleletter17.shtml , change this letter to make it your own. You need to send this letter by way of CMRRR.Once the OC has signed for the letter, immediately dispute with the CRAs again, this time in writing. There is a very good Credit Repair primer here by Divemedic that you should read, it explains all of this. Also, do a search for Flowsheet.Hope this helpsD
merkurfan
Thanks for the info. I can't remember if I ever disputed these accounts with the CRA's before so I will start there. Do I just dispute due to incorrect information and let them go from there or do I supply the information I have from the other credit reports? MY guess is to just dispute due to incorrect information and let them figure out the rest.
