dallas01
I was just looking through junk mail that I've just stored and not really looked at. Anyway I have a NCO Collection for a dvd club for 47.50. My question is would it be smart just to go to their online site and make a payment? This isn't on my credit report and I'm sure not wanting it there. Please help!
MadinKS
I would do anything w/o written agreement to not report. NCO is one of the notorious ones. Be very careful w/them. Quickly write and send a pay for no report letter and send it.
dallas01
I couldn't wait anymore. My wife put this on my name and I just found out about it. Maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones that they don't do wrong. I couldn't chance anything hitting my credit report. I gave them my visa debit and when It hits the bank I'll cancel my card. MadinKS
Maybe, I mean hopefully, you caught it before they are able to report it.
dallas01
I've never heard this one before but she did assure me that it wouldn't be reported. She also told me they didn't have a bad reputation. My card is officially CANCELLED
CarolinaBlueEyes
NCO has a horrid reputation they were charged millions from the PA AG , one of the biggest awards in history for bad practices.. go to budhibbs.com and check them out... they are HORRID..as far as a DVD club on your credit report... its not likely since they dont have your SS number
dallas01
No lie, I was just on the site reading about all the Ca's and then I found the bill. For some reason now that I paid I can see all the other ca's that I shouldn't have to pay beating down the door. I think the Lawsuit was in Mn. Renai3
No lie, I was just on the site reading about all the Ca's and then I found the bill. For some reason now that I paid I can see all the other ca's that I shouldn't have to pay beating down the door. I think the Lawsuit was in Mn.You probably could have paid directly to the OC. I also had a book club go into collections (never hit my report), and several months later, I finally called the OC and they accepted my payment directly over the phone (I could no longer access the online account). I just did this last month. Because I also heard about NCO (thank you CIC and Bud Hibbs), I'm writing to another OC letting them know I do not trust their "assignee" and will NOT be sending any money to them, only the OC. We'll see if this works.Renai
