NellaGetsSexy
Ok, I have a medical bill on my credit report from 2002 and I dont even know whom I owe this money too. I disputed this one and the other three which are relatively small bills with hopes that they will contact me because, I never even received a letter. Do you all think that if this comes back verified that I can pay for a delete as I had no knowledge of these outstanding medical bills. Thanks for all your help!!!! blondie813
No one can say either way whether or not you could PFD if they do come back verified. That would be entirely up to whomever owns the debt if they will accept a PFD. Are the accounts listed on your CR from the OC or a CA? Are you disputing that the debt is yours? the amount? If you know the debt is yours, you know who the OC is, and you want to pay it you could always take the initiative to contact the OC and give them the "gosh, golly, gee...didn't know I owed this....the insurance company didn't pay..." etc. Offer to pay them the debt if they agree IN WRITING to delete.Otherwise, if it is listed with a CA, I would DV and dispute it with the CRAs and see what happens. sharizap
There's a sticky with some interesting info about medical bills here:http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=262951Making some of this info work for you will require some legwork on your part, but might be worth it if some of the criteria fit and you don't really owe the bill anyway.
