Kalakuta
Hello Everyone There is such a wealth of information in here that is so mind-buggling and I really do not know where to start. The joy of finding a site like this is that you finally realise that you are not alone in this problem. My problem may not be that much of a big deal to some but I have 61 late payments; 30 days(46), 60 days(13), 90 days(1), 120 days(1), and 1 charge-off. I just paid off two collections which I would not have done if I had found this site on time because the two collections seem to be sitting pretty comfortably on my credit report. And yes, duffus(yours truly), did not get anything in writing!! The last time I called the collection agency I could have sworn I heard the operators laughing at me!! Please note that I am not saying that I WOULD NOT have paid the debt, just that I did not realise that you could negotiate for a lower payment.Anyway, I digress. Could someone, anyone, please tell me how to go about clearing this up, or where and how to start? I would like to know if this is also possible since most of the postings here suggest on the one hand that it it possible and some say no. I got into this mess through some bad real estate deals and I need to get back into the business now that I know much better but with this kind of credit (519), I might as well sit at home and watch the grass grow....Thanks in advance
MadinKS
First off, Welcome We're glad your here. Let's see if we can get this stuff taken care of. I have 61 late payments; 30 days(46), 60 days(13), 90 days(1), 120 days(1), and 1 charge-off. Have you disputed these w/the CRAs? If not, that would be your first step. After your initial round of dispute results come in, we'll better be able to help. So, dispute all negatives, in writing, with all 3 CRAs. Send them CMRRR so you are sure they received them. I would start with "no knowledge of account", or something vague, so you have room for further dispute. Once the results are back, you will DV the remaining TL's. Okay? Get after 'em and P.S. Have you read the primers and stickies? If not, read them herehttp://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=187And read this primerhttp://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=263069
Kalakuta
Thanks for the welcome and please pardon my lack of manners with my posting. I will pull all three reports today and shoot off the disputes first thing Monday morning and keep everyone abreast of progress.Would anyone happen to have a sample dispute letter for the CRAs?Thanks...
