WILLY
26 Days ago, the CRA received CMRRR disputes for numerous TL's on my reports. FYI, my credit is ugly. At the same time, I also CMRRR disputes for my wife but I only disputes 3 TL's on hers. Her credit was fair with FICO's in the 600's. I have already received the outcome of her re-investigations with great results, 690's and up. This week, more than 21 days later, I received a letter from TU stating they are investigating my disputes. I have received no other correspondence on my disputes other than the returned green cards dated 3/24/07. What is taking so long? Has anyone else had this same lagging response with good or bad final results? Why were my wifes disputes handled more effeciently? I am assuming they are waiting for the 30 days to expire before they will delete, but it seems odd that they have yet to delete or vaildate as accurate on any of the 15+ TL's I disputed. A review of my truecredit report show no change but several of the TL's show "consumer disputes", "re-investigaion in progress" HELP !!!
MadinKS
Patience my man. They (TU), I have found, will drag it out the full 30 days. EX is about the quickest for me so far. TU, drag......It's close, just have patience. Funny that I'm saying that. I'm about the most impatient person in the world. Well, maybe the second, after you. Just joshin'. Good luck. hawaiiguy
I feel your pain Willy, just went thru that myself. TU dragged it out for the full thirty days. Patience, it will work out, I know how FRUSTRATING it is!!
answer2prayer
It just seems suspicious that my wife has already received the outcome on all 3 and I've received diddley...My limited patience is running out...lolMaybe hers were simple enough, or obvious enough, that they didn't verify with the OCs, CAs, etc. they just made their own decision to correct and with yours they are waiting on verifications??May have nothing to do with it though, Just a thought! MadinKS
Maybe hers were simple enough, or obvious enough, that they didn't verify with the OCs, CAs, etc.answer- Please don't think I'm baggin' on you when I say that, when you dispute an item, the CRAs must go through the furnisher of information. They can't simply circumvent the system and make those sorts of decisions. Did you do your disputes online? If so, you guys really need to read the sticky about online disputes. It's here. http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=263996Very good reason why you should always do your disputes by mail. hiblues
... I just read a good part of it all the post about on-line disputes....anyway, it kinda has good points going both ways don't you think?DiveMedic makes goodpoints why On-lines Disputes are OK.it seemed to me thatpeople have had good results either way.I have done both and I have run into more roadblocks when I mailin than if I do them on-line.
