Deal with TU?

Recommended Posts

Was on the phone today with an overseas TU rep disputing some accounts that showed open but have been paid and closed. After I disputed, she gave me a spill about some 30-day trial credit monitoring service with TU. I kept saying I couldn't afford it but she would not stop trying to get me to sign up. At least 3 or 4 times I said no but she kept on and on and on. Finally, I said if you will delete an account(AFNI) for me I will sign up. She then said it is scheduled to come off in Jan 09. I said that is too long and if she wanted me to sign up, she would have to delete it. She asked me which one and I told her. Instead of deleting it right there on the spot, she all of a sudden asked me if I would like to delete some personal info. I then deleted all the addresses that do not belong to me. Then she asked me to dispute the AFNI account. She disputed it as not mine because they are reporting Sprint as the OC which is incorrect(never had a Sprint acct). Funny thing is, I told her I had disputing this before because they have been reporting inaccurately and it was always verified. That's when she asked me if I wanted to delete some of my personal info. To anyone, what's your take on this situation?

This is only my opinion, but all those reps seem to be only reading computer screens. Apu and Apu-ina are only voices...just reading froma prompt. I highly doubt she really thought through deleting your personal information so you could successfully delete a TL.
