SugarNspice
My DH applied for a GEMB/Sams club card and was denied due to unable to verify home phone number. Has this happened to anyone? We have cell phones and dont have a home phone. They pulled his EQ which is his best score. He only has one bad TL thats suppose to fall off by the end of this month. I'd like for him to apply again. How long should he wait before applying again? I think he might have put his cell number as his work number and I'm not sure about the home phone number. Can he just use his cell as his home phone? SecretAgentWoman
I would call them, and ask them to reconsider. Perhaps there is alternative information you can offer besides a land line. This is becoming all too common for them to give up on all the potential customers!
cracrap
my wife and i have gotten the same response ..the prob is that the bureaus dont have your cell numbers on file as a home or work reference so when ur credit gets pulled it doesnt show as the same as on the application..normally if u call the creditor and tell them its ur home number that u gave without telln them its a cell then theyll accept it.....what theyre lookin for is a landline and a call back from u to verify your application
