But there is one i couldnt find. and im confused! My question is:When i recieved my credit reports back from all three credit B, The inquiries were extensive , There are three different types on each report,1. Regular inquiries-That said these are one that i started and do count as dings, There are 7 and 4 are from collection agencys!2. Promotional inquiries- these they said are not seen by anyone and do not hurt my credit, There are 21 of these !3. Account review inquiries-not seen by anyone and do not affect my score, There are 18 of these!I have worked very hard to fix my credit and now have 8 satifactory accounts that have never had a late payment, And i cannot believe that all of these inquiries do not hurt my credit score, I know i can dispute inquiries but i need to know if these inquiries are hurting me Thanks so much for your helptrezo
thomassl
The promotional and account review are only seen by yourself. I have opted out so I don't get promotional inquiries on my report. On occasion, my car insurance company will do a review inquiry. This is only seen by myself. These are "soft inquiries". The others that are seen are "hard inquiries". Collection agencies on your account can do an inquiry. There are also inquiries that you yourself have done such as when you apply for credit. Just make sure that you don't have a lot of inquiries as they stay on your credit report for 2 yrs. Before applying for credit, try to find out if you might qualify first. That way they don't pull a hard inquiry.
VonAngel (aka EarthAngel)
Promotional and AR inquiries should be categorized as "soft" inquiries and do not hurt your score. The "Regular" inquiries are known as "hard" inquiries and DO hurt your score (until they are a year or more older).

VonAngel (aka EarthAngel)
On my adverse accounts the they are reporting active date wrong, Which letter do i send them to fix this? Thanks again for all your help! What do you mean they are reporting the "active date" wrong? Whatever you feel is inaccurate on your CR, you should just send a dispute letter saying what is wrong w/ the TL. There's not magic letter to send. Just write in the letter what TL you want to dispute, give a specific reason, and include your name, address, and SS#.
