iecus
Does anyone know of a score wizard program? what the score wizard, that some banks are doing now and some websites is it will tell you what your score could be if you did certain things to your credit, meaning how much point it will go up if you paid down a debt and it will tell you how much it should go up roughly. I found a site that chg's $21 to do that for all 3 but I wanted to know if there's a program like it where I can enter my own info and don't have the pay the $21 every time.Thanks. kevin3344
I use EQ score watch which is just about the same as this "free" simulator:http://www.providian.com/cmc/fico_simulator.htmI can tell you from experience it pretty much boils down to two things: (1) paying your bills on time and (2) keeping low revolving credit lines. If you do just those two things your score will grow over time.
jazmin
The providian simulator is pretty much useless IMO. Obviously paying on time and keeping balances low will help your score. What it won't tell you is what if you get a CA removed or close an old card or get lates removed or....It is much too complicated for a simulator to determine score changes unless it were actually using the same algorithm as FICO, and there just isn't any simulator that I know of that does.
