dancerma
I first disputed a debt with all CRA and all came back as verified. Then I wrote a letter to First Premier Bank requesting an investigation on this account per the letter from this site. First Premier wrote back and told me that "this letter is in response to the request for validation of your credit card account number ****. They said that their records on the application was under my name and ss# and since it had been used for purchases I was bound to the debt. They then went on to say that I referenced the FDCPA, FCBA and TILA and they aren't a collector, rather a creditor. They told me I have 2 sets of right to dispute, 1) that it doesn't belong to me, 2) and a billing error. They replied that since my verification request doesnt satisfy the requirements, they aren't obliged to respond. They told me I need to complete a consumer dispute verifcation form.I'm not sure what my next step is, but they haven't responded to providing me with records for this account.HELP!!!! CleverCynic
You can't DV an OC, only a CA. A lot of people are stuck with First Premier here from what I've read. The online dispute I think was your best shot other than settling or PFD. I'm sure lots of others will have better advice, sorry.

dancerma
The link at the top of the page with the letter to send to original creditors was the one I sent. I just changed pertinent information. I requested an investigation of the late pays and they're refusing. That's why I'm stumped! Thanks for all help!
