amortgageman
I am not absolutely sure, but AMICA use to overlook "stuff." Use to have really decent rates too.
firstsource
And if American Family Insurance is available in your area, look into their programs. They don't pull credit at all.Charles
melisadawn
American Family started pulling this year. We go through them. They pulled TU in Ohio. Our rate went up 90$ a year because inquiries (7) and no revolving credit and collections. Positive- house car no credit cards 3 paid in full med. collections My agent called right away and told me it was going up and said he does not see report but I may want to pull it in case there was something there that should not be. giving me a heads up. I thought without a lot of debt it would look better fo insurance.

jq26
Just to add my 2 cents- I shopped around for homeowner's insurance to about 5 places. They ALL checked credit. For the same exact insurance (replacement value + $500k in personal liability) the range of quotes I received were as high as $2900 down to $1170 (liberty mutual). It pays to shop! ...At least the inquiries don't count against you.
