I have a negative medical collections that I would like to have removed. The original date of debt was 8/2004. I had made partial payments and honestly thought it was paid in full. A year later (11/05) was contacted by a CA and paid the debt in full. There was no written agreement to remove the negative listing upon pay (didn't know anything then)

SO .. now how can I clean this up?

All three list the date open as 8/04; however I have a fax from the OC stating that the last date of payment was 10/04. (not the final payment however) Shouldn't that be sufficient to get this deleted from my report?

Also if it is listed as $255 and the real amount is $155 should I asked for the correction? Does it really matter?

well what is meant by "read the primer" is that if you follow the primer, you might be able to build up violations and use that for a delete.

If it is paid in full, try disputing as "creditor said they would remove" or whatever the wording the CB's use. Or you can try a goodwill letter.
