Letter From LDG - DV or Cease Comm Letter

I received a letter from LDG on 4/6/07...it was in a stack of letters. It lists the client as West Asset Purchasing, LLC II. The dollar amount looks like it could be for an HSBC credit card I disputed as not mine. ($90.00 more than the balance on the TL on my CRAs)

I was going to DV, but a friend suggested I use a Cease COmm letter she has used in the past.

It is not showing up on any of my CRs yet...I want to keep it that way.

Which is the better approach...DV or Cease Com m, or both?
