Midland - Victory?

Well I think I got good news today but the overall results are very perplexing. I pulled my TC reports today and had 1 less account (you can't see yesterday's report? Just got the service yesterday), so after comparing to everything I had printed it was Midland Credit Manag taken off for an old Cross Country card which was reporting:

Date opened: N/A

Reported: 4/06

Balance: $3,030

Acct. Type: Open

Status: CA

Now it's been less than a week since I disputed online, so how does that happen? Does that mean they answered and said "yeah take it off"? Or was the answer not good enough for EQ or what? I had thought they had to not respond for the dispute period to be removed?

Anyway, my FAKO dropped 9 points for Equifax! I hate this uncertainty and don't want to spend another $10.95 for a fico when I just got one and need another after the disputes are done.

The other weird thing is that they were only reporting on EQ, and only pulling info from TU, they are 7 of 9 Acct. review inq's on my TU and nowhere else.

ANFI I think verified, they have two separate entries today on my TC, one showing TU and EX, and another only showing on EQ with a report date 4/07.

Sort me out if you can!

Ok, somehow in my excellent adventure the last few days has led to Experian sending me something in the mail :?: today. It says:

As requested, the Report number listed above will allow you access your online credit report.

The listed report number is different than the free one I got a few days ago. So my question is, is this a banked free credit report I should save until my disputes are over, or do you think it's already generated for a certain date and it's just going to show it to me whenever I log in and use the number?

Opinions or experience appreciated!

Come on don't mess with me now! It's not going to pull more than one new report with that number is it????

I'm being serious. I've been pulling my Experian report online for years now with the same number I got when I first started disputing. That is the one thing Experian does that is good. Probably not intentional.

Actually I think Afni-Bloom is screwing with me... what changed on that one is now it's reporting 120 days late on EQ! It's an '02 Cingular CA.

Hey, AFNI just did the same thing to me yesterday re: a Paid Off Sprint account (paid directly to Sprint earlier this year before I knew better). So my question is, what are they trying to accomplish by changing it to 120 days?

A recent late hurts more than an old collection I would think, though I don't see how they'd gain in the long run by removing a valid entry and reporting it wrongly. I don't think it changged my fako for the worse though, it actually went up 6 points because 6 inquiries were also removed last night per dispute.

I really hope Midland doesn't pop up again! If it does, I haven't accomplished anything since I started early last week. Right now I'm feeling pretty good about the progress but anxious abouit the other disputes.

I don't want to discourage you but I have been fighting Midland since January on a debt they have YET to validate.

They actually deleted my old TL one day, inserted the new one the next. Changed it from a colletion to an installment, and reported it 120 days late. They were fine leaving it alone until I disputed it.

Monday is 5 business days from the day they signed for my last letter saying either validate of delete. I've drafted my complaints to the BBB and the AG's. While it may do no good at all, at least It'll make ME feel better if they have to start responding to a bunch of investigations. I can be just as big of an A$$ as they are.

This sounds like a fight-back tactic they've chosen to use. The AFNI's giving at least 3 of us 120 days late is no coincidence the more I think about it. The winds are changing and we're going to have to be ferocious. If that midland TL reappears incorrectly we're going to have to come up with something to expose them.

Well, I printed my report for the day it fell off, and printed it again the next day when it was reinserted. I also printed the alert I received showing they tried to report it as a new collection account. I did not lose any FAKO scores since it is still being reported as disputed.

They say I owe $162. They are about to spend way more than that on just responding to my complaints! 8-)

I have been able to pull my Ex report with an old report number numerous times and I have seen changes which tells me it is a free ticket for an anytime updated Ex report. I have read this many times on this forum as well. Hold onto at least one of your report #s as they will save you money in the future.

I think something is going wrong with Equifax. My LVNV Funding is now showing 120 days late which differs from the other two CR's. That's 3 now in as many days between AFNI, LVNV, and ... ok yeah I'm a dork, i'm thinking Midland is coming back but it hasn't yet... but those 2, and they are different than EX and TU.

My FAKO score still hasn't fallen yet, but my TrueCredit is now saying "Too many new accounts - Equifax" and I don't have any new accounts except the JCPenney, and it didn't say that before today...
