sharizap
Well, it was worth a shot.I got a very nice letter from my CU in response to the GW letter I sent last week. I explained our circumstances and why the account had gotten so far behind, pointed out the fact that I had been making consistant payments for the past 18 months or so, (even though there was still an overdue balance- I hadn't gotten any further behind) mentioned my long-term relationship with the credit union, and asked if they would consider deleting the lates from my report. He said that though I had done an "outstanding" job of bringing the account current and of keeping up with the payments, he couldn't delete the lates. He went on to say they had pulled my CR (I think from Experian but I don't have the letter in front of me) and their TL was one of the more positive ones listed. He said they'd continue to report my positive status, the loan was almost paid off, and he was certain that with hard work and continued positive account activity I'd be able to repair my credit again eventually. Or words to that effect. awww, screw 'em. I'll repair my credit WITHOUT their help, and when it's time for me to buy a new car I'll be able to shop around and get a better rate from someone else. rat b*
