Hi All

I was looking for a way to find out if a certain collector is licensed in New York State. The Collectors name is Pressler and Pressler, L.L.p. I sent them a DV letter and i just recieved a letter back from them and it only shows my wifes name an account number and amount owed. Now the thing is the OC was Discover and now New Century Financial has it. I assume they hired Pressler and Pressler, L.L.P to try to collect.

When we sent the DV letter we requested all info be sent to us

all we got was a sheet showing some Debt and attorney Fees added to it.

In my letter i asked for there Lic Number and more and it was not posted in there letter they sent me. I am going to send a 2nd DV letter. Does anyone think this is a good move. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also they are not listed on her Credit Report.

Also i saw that they are very shady and have a poor rep with the better bussiness bureu
