fred_perkins
You might want to take a look at this other recent thread with info about Allied Interstate:http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265671Also, see Bud Hibbs' website (click on "Agencies to Avoid") for more info about the scumbags at Allied and their blatant violations:http://www.budhibbs.com/debtcollectorpages/allied_interstate.htmAnd, as suggested above, you should send a DV letter to Allied. Alternatively, you could skip the DV process and simply send a written dispute of "any and all debts" with a request for Allied to cease all communication and to remove any tradelines that they reported as well as any inquiries made about you with the CRAs. Be sure to send your letter via CERTIFIED MAIL. Return Receipt (green card) is NOT NECESSARY, however you should definitely retain the Certified tracking number! You might also consider sending it via FAX as well, although Certified mail is the best way to do it. I recently sued Allied Interstate for violating a prior cease and desist request that I sent to them awhile back. They claimed that they had never received my c & d letter, and they paid an outside attorney for several hours of work in their effort to fight me. Eventually the discovery process began after my suit was filed, and I disclosed a dated FAX receipt showing exactly when they received my letter. A few days later, they quietly offered to settle the case for several thousand dollars (the exact amount is confidential).
fred_perkins
You could also dispute the tradelines with the CRAs and point out that they were already deleted a year ago. The FCRA prohibits the re-insertion of identical accounts unles the CRA sends written notice to you within 5 days of reinserting. You can sue any CRA that refuses to comply. fred_perkins
Yes. You may either send a DV letter or a cease & desist letter to Allied. Your choice.
