DeeT
Just got off the phone with Keith BrownTU supervisor he would not give me an ID# which I asked for probably because I told him I wanted to include him in my law suit. I sent them the from and back of cancelled checks send to New Century proving payment were made. He just told me that my information was not acceptable. What the hell? How can it be non acceptable. They are cancelled checks showing dates New Century cashed them and New Century statements showing my payment amount. I asked what his company's ground were for items that are unacceptable are your ready for this he said it was "Company Confidential" all grounds are confidential on determining whether your evidence is acceptable or not. This is my credit we are talking about how can that be confidential. I need to sue them NOW but I don't know on what ground. Company confidentially??? jq26
I know you have many other threads on this situation and I haven't kept up. YOU NEED TO DEAL WITH THEM BY CERTIFIED MAIL SO THAT IF/WHEN YOU SUE YOU HAVE PROOF. Briefly but clearly state what is incorrect in a letter and how it needs to be fixed. Make sure you briefly explain the hardship you've been through for good measure. Attach a copy of the canceled checks. Then send to the CRAs certified. Make a copy of everything before sending (and when the green certificate card comes back signed, staple it to the copy of the letter you sent to them). Phone work doesn't cut it when you end up in front of a judge pleading your case. And it will just frustrate you! Here is some info you should check out. It sounds like you are hitting a brick wall-http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fcradoc.pdfFair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.§ 611 Procedure in case of disputed accuracy § 616 Civil liability for willful noncompliance § 617 Civil liability for negligent noncompliance
DeeT
I did deal with the via certified mail and received the green card back. With the cancelled checks, bank statements etc.Actually I called today regarding an update done by EQ on April 12 that never went on to the TC site. They refered me back to TU when we were trying to get this fixed I asked when the verification came back on NCentury and that is when they told me.
