Hello,

After reading through so many of your helpful posts I am ready to tackle repairing my credit but I wanted to ask you all a few questions first.

1) Do I need to send goodwill letters and/or DV letters by certified mail?

2) In the event that my husband and I have a joint account that is reporting negative information on each of our accounts in it sufficient to send one letter from both of us?

3) Do we need to include our SS# in our letters?

Thank you so much!

Hallie

Hi Hallie,

Welcome aboard. I would ALWAYS send a DV or any other correspondance with a CA by way of CMRRR. GW letters are a bit different. Sometimes CMRRR can be taken as a bit threatening. The main diff. is that usually with GWs, your dealing with an OC and you want to come across as nice and genuine as possible. As far as including your SSN, no way. All you should provide is what they are providing you with (ie Name, address and an account number that they are using on the CR) NEVER sign a DV either, just use a script type font.

Hope this helps

D
