defpro
Experian, sent me a letter on 4/26/07 after I began (4/12/07) DV advising me of my rights under the FCRA! Of course nothing new and all they said was they are just a reporting agency, not to be confused with a guilty party. I assume Experian thinks I'm using a credit repair service. That's nice as everything is from I've learned here! Great news.
lyle7289
Back up a minute. Why did they send you a letter? Did you DV the CRA???
thomassl
Hopefully you did not DV the CRA's? You only DV the CA's but dispute with the CRA's!

CleverCynic
I just recieved yet another packet from them yesterday as well. This one says "We've recently been informed by one of the credit reporting agencies that you believe information in your credit report is innacurate due to fraud. .....we have added a temporary initial Security alert to your Experian file....."Yet Experian is the ONLY one putting a fraud alert on my report, they make it sound like some other agency told them to. Anyway, this mailing has yet a 3rd report number!
defpro
Sorry this took so long.. suns been out. Experian sent me a letter when they noticed I'd begun my DV in April, disputing the items online, following up with them as well. The letter told me credit repair agencys have to have a license, yadda, yadda and rambled on about what I knew from the forum. This place rocks! So far gone=Progressive, Calvary (ATT), NCO & one more but forgot what it was off hand.
