Kat99 Posted May 2, 2007 Report Share Posted May 2, 2007 I have been lurking around for awhile reading and reading and reading and I finally just sent my first 3 DVs out this past Friday. Before knowing any better, I disputed my negative TLs direct with the CRAs and they all came back as verified. I waited a few months and started reading this board at which time I decided to start some action. To give some history of my CRs:3 neg TLs on CRsAll with CAs but OC is indicated as suchAll are about 3 yrs old (within SOL in Calif)1 PR for tax lien from 85 (2004 status went to Paid and Released)Fakos are: TU/569 EQ/592 Ex521FICOS are: TU/576 EQ/583 EX/597I rcvd the greens back yesterday from 2 of the 3 I Dvd and now I am sort of stuck on what to do next. Here are my questions if anyone can be so kind as to guide me. Yes, I have read the primer at least 59 times buy my timing of events differs then the primers. Here are my questions:1. Since I disputed with the CRAs about a month ago and just sent DVs out Friday and got greens back yesterday, do I now re-dispute with CRAs right now?2. I monitor via TC daily and I will watch for them marking CRs as disputed but how often do I need to print a report to have proof they did not mark it as disputed and are the TC copies of the CRs enough to use as evidence if it comes to that?FYI-I have about 6 positive TLs also but they are all within the past 3 yrs so they are pretty new. My husband (700 Fico) is adding me as an AU on a prime cc that he has had for 7 yrs with perfect history. CL is $5k and bal is $300. Anyone have an idea how much positive effect the AU status will have?Thanks in advance for everyones help. If I would not have stumbled across this board, I would be accepting these scores for the next 5 yrs. Although it took me a couple of months of reading, etc. before I got my rump into gear, now that I have started, I look forward to reeping the rewards. Thanx to you all. thomassl Posted May 2, 2007 Report Share Posted May 2, 2007 Since you disputed with the CRA's and they verified, you have the right to know how they verified your information. There is a letter on the forum called, "MOV" method of verification. You should send this to the CRA which requires them to tell you how they verified the debt to be yours...the how, who, where, why of how they did this! They should be able to provide you with who they talked to, what phone number and address, etc. I would also send this letter certified mail. The only way that you will catch them (CA) verifying is if you dispute with the CRAs and they request the CA to verify. As far as the CA marking the account as being in dispute, I just watch to see if they verify without marking the TL as disputed. If they do, then I print it. Are these TLs shown identically on all 3 CRs ? If not, you'll want to have proof of that also. Thomassl is right on the money also, my only thought is that at this point, you are trying to rack up violations. Since you know that they (CA) now have your DV, then you know it's a violation for them to verify. If it were me, I would dispute one more time with the CRAs prior to the request for MOV. If the CRA says the TL's are verified, can a single MOV letter be sent to the CRA for all of the disputes, or do you recommend sending an MOV for each TL? Does it matter? For each item they verified, they must have a method of verification...who, how, when and where. Whatever you disputed and they verified, they must provide their MOV. If I understand everyones advice correctly, since I just rcvd the greens back from 2 of the 3 I DVd, I should now immediately re-dispute with the CRAs, wait to see if the CAs verify (watch for marking "dispute") and if they do (violation) proceed to asking CRAs for MOV???? The 3 negative TLs have some descrepancies (2 of them do, the amt). Are you asking because I should use this as my new reason for re-dispute?
