SecretAgentWoman
I have disputed an old First Consumers National Bank account with all 3 CRAs. Equifax, aka CSC Credit in Texas, is the only one that verified - TWICE.I have called the number for the OC on record, busy signal. I wrote 2 certified letters to the address they have on file, both came back from the USPS as "not deliverable as addressed, unable to forward."WTF?I just requested MOV, I don't have much hope. I have a feeling I'm going to have to file in court on this one. Anyone have tips? Do I sue both CSC and Equifax?
SecretAgentWoman
You know, I think CSC is trying to screw me on purpose (just because you are paranoid does NOT mean they aren't out to get you!).I suddenly, in the last week, have A$$et listing twice, the same account, one with a dash in the account number, one without. I chalked it up to a mistake...
MadinKS
Somethin's fishy. Have you called CSC and compained to them yet?
Fizzle1979
Have you filed a BBB complaint against them? I alway get good results with the BBB. If a company doesn't cross a "t" or dot an "i" I file a complaint. haha I know CSC is a PITA to deal with in general.
dallas01
I'm so mad at them I could scream!I disputed online around 45 days ago. I decided to call and check status after the 30th day. When I talked to Customer Service they don't show any disputes for me. OK, So now I told her on the phone what items I was disputing. Cap 1 and First Premier. It clearly shows AU on the account. Seems pretty easy to figure out.So today I call Equifax directly after buying a CR online with them and they told me nothing was showing being disputed. He assured me that he was putting in the disputes for me. I guess time will tell. Both the accounts got deleted for the other CRA's.I didn't know I could even file a dispute with EQ living in Texas, maybe I got lucky. SecretAgentWoman
Sounds like you need to only dispute in writing, CMRRR.
Fizzle1979
I didn't know I could even file a dispute with EQ living in Texas, maybe I got lucky.I would take SAW's advice and send them two different letters one for Cap 1 and the other for FP, both via US CMRRR. Cost you about ten bux but worth it. I do not think you can dispute with EQ directly if your address is listed in the state of Texas. GOOD LUCK! Thought everything went through the evilone down in Allen TX.What did you use for your dispute on Authorized User? SAW: I feel your pain. Kinda looks like revenge. What the heck did you do to those jackA... anyway?
dallas01
I disupted as not mine. It clearly shows the account as AU account on cr.TU came off pretty quick. So I asummed that EQ would also. Maybe I shouldn't assume. The last time either reported was 2003. How many CC companys would just stop trying to get their money? I've heard alot of good things about EQ but I'm not finding that to be true in my case. Also when I disputed with them on the phone they asked my address, they knew I was in Texas but they still put in the dispute for me. Maybe I got lucky.
