JuniorNY
I have 3 collection accounts listed on my credit report, 2 is from accounts I opened for my mother (never doing that again) and 1 is NCO for $30 from a web domain account that I paid for, but nevertheless they sold to NCO. Honestly the money is not an issue at this point, these 3 accounts total about $300 which I'll gladly pay tomorrow if I could get them off. I tried e-mailing them with no response. What should be my next step?

savymicheal
First only pay to delete if they are recent collections. Meaning if they are nearing drop off date dont pay makes no sense!!!! First you must write to them.Tel them you would like to settle this matter once and for all. And part of the agreement they delete the negative entry from your reports. You only send in money once you receive letter from each of them because you may need to send copy of that letter to the credit bureaus. Be for warned not all collections agency's respond to offer of settlements. And that is o.k.$300 is not a lot just concentrate staying current on your current obligations!!! JuniorNY
They are brand new. These brought my credit score down over 70 points, that's why I'm so hungry to PFD. I actually got a few off and here these come to wipe out what I've done over the last several months.
MadinKS
If they are not going to break you, I would not try the settlement PFD. Try for PFD w/paid in full. They are more likely to go for that if they are that new. Good luck.
