bigjohnstud4200
Long story short... I disputed some TL's back in 2004 with Experian for "not mine" well before I found this site. November of 2006 I sent a DV letter to the same creditor that was on my report when I disputed with the CRA in 2004, but I did not dispute with the CRA's again (this was also before I found this site). Finally, after going back and forth with the CA they have finally given up trying to collect from me and will not respond to DV's or follow up letters, however, I decided to dispute the TL with TransUnion and TransUnion deleted it "unverified" so I decided to dispute with the other CRA's. Experian responded back saying that they verified the account in 2004 and it came back verified so they would not investigate it again. My question is, if I send them a copy of the deleted TL from my TransUnion report showing "unverified", is that enough to make Experian reinvestigate? MadinKS
If you are using the online dispute process, change to writing a dispute to them. In your dispute make it specific. I dispute the DOFD, DOLA, status, comments, etc. I got the dreaded "frivolous" letter from them even though I sent copies of TU and CSC CRs w/highlighted violations. My attorney has the ball now though, so we'll see who is frivolous But, it's worth a shot. If they reject that attempt, call the sorry f@#ckers on the phone. It's a lot harder to tell someone on the phone they're being frivolous.

I do use snail mail only during disputes so I think I will give them a little more info than I usually do, letting them know that the CA is unable to verify the debt and are now refusing to respond and if they are also unwilling to verify the debt I will be forced to contact the FTC.
